Water operator continuing education
Continuing education is the approved training a licensed operator completes to renew a license and keep their knowledge current. Where a Texas Class D license renews, it takes 30 hours of continuing education, and for water operators at least 2 of those hours must be resiliency training.
How it fits with renewal
Continuing education and renewal go together: the hours are what a license needs to be renewed. There is an important catch at Class D, though. Many Class D licenses are not renewable at all, and the operator moves up to a higher grade instead. So before you count CE hours, check whether your Class D license renews in the first place.
